在知识经济时代,软实力是理工科高校的核心竞争力,是提高理工科综合实力的重要内容。失去硬实力,软实力是无源之水;失去软实力,硬实力便淬不出锋芒。对当前的理工科高校而言,正视学校软实力状况并建设与硬实力相对称的软实力,是增强理工科高校综合竞争力、实现可持续发展的现实选择。

In the era of knowledge-based economy, softpower is core competitive power for universities of science ＆ engineering, and is also an important part of improving their overall strength. Without hardpower, softpower is like water without a source; Without soflpower, hard power doesn＇ t manifest itself. To current universities of science ＆ engineering, it is a realistic choice for them to face the situation of their sofipower and build softpower fit for their hardpower, which enables them to strengthen their comprehensive competitive power and ensures their suistainable development.
