The distributed resources＇ benefits and potential problems are summarized. This paper presents the key technical issues related with integration of distributed resources. The key technical issues include protection, grounding and transformer interface, transmission and distribution support etc. Having recognized the technical challenges, the paper indicates that it is possible to develop technical solutions to facilitate the interconnection of DR. The paper also points out that public policy decisions have significant impact on accelerating the improvement of DR interconnection standards, practices, and products.
