南社与“文明戏”的成功联姻——中国早期话剧的一次“救国演剧”活动

The Southern Society's Contribution to "Civilized Plays":A Case Study of a "National Salvation Performance" in the Early Stage of Spoken Drama in China

1915年6月上海市金山县的张堰镇举行了为期三天的"救国储金"义务演剧活动。随后,南社文人编辑《张堰救国演剧纪念录》纪念此事。此文献和其他相关材料揭示了民国初年高涨的爱国热情,记录了文明戏的剧目和演出状况,披露了南社曾对当时的文明戏做出重要贡献的史实。

A three- day charity performance was held at Zhangyan Town, Jinshan County, Shanghai, in June 1915 to fund the ＂National Salvation Reserve＂, followed by a collection titled In Commemoration of the National Salvation Charity Performance at .Zhangyan, compiled by men of letters from the Southern Society （ nan she ）. This collection, together with other related materials, recorded the repertoire and performances of the ＂civilized plays＂ （wen ruing xi ） in the soaring patriotism in the early years of the Nationalist reign, and provided clues to important contribution to the development of the ＂civilized plays＂ by the Society.
