TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS China's First Private Airline Not OKOKAir (奥凯航空), China's first privately owned airline, suspended passenger flights on December 15. The airline's largest shareholder, Shanghai-based Juneyao Group (均瑶集团), had appliecl for a suspension of passenger services in November, citing nlanagement disputes within the company which it believed could compronlise flight safety. Airports began insisting oil instant cash payments for fuel and services 10 days ahead of tile scheduled suspension, forcing the airline to cease flights on nearly 20 passenger routes earlier than expected. OKir's flights on the suspended routes have been temporarily replaced by other airlines.
