中国林蛇属(蛇亚目:游蛇科)─新种

DESCRIPTION OF A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS BOIGA(SERPENTES: COLUBRIDAE) FROM CHINA

根据广西龙州市龙岗自然保护区历年所采林蛇属标本2雄3雌，与黑头林蛇相近，作者曾将其鉴定为后者。经进一步研究，发现它与林蛇属已知各种均不相同，应是一新种。本文对该新种加以描述。

Two male and three female specimens belonging to the genus Boiga Fitzinger, 1826 were collected from Longgang Nature Reserve,Longzhou City,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China during the period from 1974 to 1984. They had been identified as Boiga nigriceps Guenther in 1984 by the author. After detail comparisons, the author found that they were different from all the known species of the genus Boiga, but belong to a new species which not be previously described.Boiga guangxiensis sp. nov.Boiga nigriceps: YT Wen, 1984, Acta Herpetologica Sinica,Chegdu,3(3):73(non Cuenther, 1863).Holotype: GMU 82020, an adult male, Longgang Nature Reserve, Longzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,China; 1982 collected.Paratypes: GMU noo.74001,82021 and 84001,all females,the same locality as the halotype, 1974-1984 collected;GAS 790003,an adult male,the same locality as the holotype, 1979 collected.An the types, except GAS 790003 which is kept in Longgang Nature Reserve, are kept in the Guangxi Medical University,Nanning. Diagnosis: This new form is closely similar to B. nigriceps Guenther, but differs from the latter by having ①more ventlals,263-270;②the supnathe not touching the frontal; and③different coloration. While B. nigriceps Guenther has less ventrals,240-263 and the supraocular in contact or almost contact with the frontal.Distribution: The new species is known only from the type locality, Longgang Nature Reserve,Longzhou City,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The geographical situation is 22°20'N and 107°'E.
