浅谈地理标志及其在中国的保护

地理标志作为一种知识产权在当今社会受到了广泛关注。随着全球经济一体化进程的加快和不同国家、地区间经贸往来的增长,地理标志作为巨大的无形资产,其商业价值不断上升。不过到目前为止,地理标志这一概念还不为中国的广大民众所熟知。本文首先介绍了地理标志的概念和功能,接着简要概括了其国际和国内保护方式,最后重点论述了中国地理标志的保护意义、现状和问题,并进而提出完善的建议。

As one of intellectual property fights,geographical indications has got widespread concern nowadays. With the acceleration of global economic integration process and growth of trade exchanges between different countries/rogions, geographical indications, as a huge intangible asset,its commercial value is on the rise. However,the concept of geographical indications is not well known by Chinese people so far. Firstly, this paper introduces the concept and functions of geographical indicatiom, followed by a brief summary on its international and domestic protection way,at last we focus on China＇ s protection significance,the protection status and existed problems of geographical indications, then put forward some proposals to perfect it.
