Research of the Reforming Thoughts in Vietnam in 19th Century

一、越南史学界对越南19世纪改革思想的研究 19世纪越南的改革思想一向受到众多学者的关注与研究。学术界对19世纪越南改革思想的研究主要集中在19世纪下半叶。因此，本文所说的19世纪越南改革思想，主要是指19世纪中后期所产生的改革思想。

In the mid-19th century, along with the infiltration of the Western capitalism in the local Vietnam, there emerged a number of intellectuals with preliminary-reforming thoughts. Under the impact of the Western thinking, some Vietnamese intellectuals began to seek the solutions around the world, which brought in new hopes for the Vietnamese people and the disastrous country. Standing in front of both the eastern and western cultures, they persistently made effort to transmit the western knowledge in domestic Vietnam and had formed their unique and characteristics concept of the west. With great courage to face the invasion of western powers, these reformers called on ＂opening the door, and learning from the West＂. They had put forward a series of concepts on reforming and opening that had tremendous impact on the society of Vietnam.
