On the Refusal Speech Act Theory and Prototype Theory

原型范畴理论是20世纪70年代心理学家Eleanor Rosch提出的一种新的概念构建模式,对语言各个层面的研究都产生了深远的影响。从语用学角度来看,拒绝言语行为作为施为性言语行为中重要的一种言语行为之一,同样具有相似的特征或属性,并表现出原型结构。试以原型范畴为理论框架,旨在通过中英文拒绝言语的实例对拒绝言语行为的范畴框架进行分析,进而把握拒绝言语行为的原型特点。

The prototype theory is new model of categorization proposed by psychologist Eleanor Rosch in 1970s. It has a profound influence upon every field of languages. From the pragmatic point of view, the ＂refusal speech act＂ as one of the most important performative speech acts has its own similarities and attributers and shows its own prototypieal structure. The aim of the paper is to work out the prototype and boundary members of refusal speech act through prototype theory by many English and Chinese examples and move forward to get the prototype features of refusal speech act.
