Objective To study the frequency of the CD4^+CD25^+FoxP3^+ regulatory T cells(Treg) in the patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and its clinical significance. Methods The percentage of the CD4^+ CD25^+ FoxP3^+ Treg cells in the peripheral blood from 32 patients with NSCLC and 15 healthy controls detected by flow cytometry. Results CD4^+ CD25^+ FoxP3^+ Treg cells from patients with NSCLC were significantly increased, compared with those from the control, they were (0.54±0.51)% and(1.40±0.98)% respectively(P〈0.01).Conclusion There is an inereasing of the proportion of CD4^+ CD25^+ FoxP3^+ Treg cells in peripheral blood of the patients with NSCLC, which probably may be related to immuno-tolerance with NSCLC, suggesting depletion of the CD4^+ CD25^+ FoxP3^+ Treg cells may be an effective strategy for NSCLC patients.
