There were many ways to quatemize the chitosan, and direct introducing 2 - hydroxy - 3 - trimethy lammoniumpropyl chloride to amido was simple. The production were excellent biological materials of broad applications. The progress of modification techniques and application of waste water treating, medicine, the agriculture her-ding industry, cosmetic and material etc were summarized.
