摘要
提出了一种基于SP帧技术的非平衡多描述视频编码方法(SP-UMD),SP帧能够参照不同参考帧重构出相同的图像帧,利用这种特性SP帧可防止错误传播,并且SP帧的编码效率远远高于I帧。在本方法中,视频序列按照两种编码参数被编码成具有高分辨率的描述(HR)和低分辨率的描述(LR),在两个描述中周期性的插入SP帧,当网络发生错误时可利用LR和SP帧来防止错误传播。实验结果表明,相对于周期性插入I帧的方法,本方法在节约码率和防止错误传播方面具有一定的优越性。
An unbalanced multiple description video coding scheme is presented based on SP-frame (SP-UMD). SP-frame can reconstruct the same image sequences using different reference frames. At this point, SP-frame can recover the lost packet to re-synchronize the bit stream, and the bitrate efficiency of SP-frame is higher than that of I-frame. In the scheme,two descriptions, i.e. , the high-resolution (HR) description and the low-resolution (LR) one are coded, by using different coding parameters. The scheme can limit error propagated by inserting SP frames in the descriptions. Simulation results show that the proposed SP-UMD scheme performs better than the scheme by using intra frame refresh.
