The paper gives an account of the conception of petroleum commercial reserve and the cur rent situation of the implementation of petroleum commercial reserve in China.At present in China, petroleum strategic reserve has been systematically organized and implemented.However ,the government as well as enterprises have failed to put due importance on petroleum commercial reserve.As a result ,com- mercial reserve is all but zero in our country.The paper analyzes and stresses the urgency and impor- tance of the implementation of petroleum commercial reserve in terms of China＇s over-all energy strategy. The paper also introduces the experience of some developed countries in their construction of petroleum com- mercial reserve,discusses the inspiration to implementing petroleum commercial reserve in China and puts forth relevant countermeasures and suggestions concerning China＇s over-all implementation of petroleum com- mercial reserve.
