[2 + 2] Condensation of two moleculars of 2,5 - bis - (m - formylphenyl -1,3,4-oxadiazole with two moleculars of diamines (ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine and o - phenylenedi-amine) yield macrocyclic polyamines 4, 5 and 7 respectively. The reversible intercon - version of 5 and 6 has been established by 13 C NMR . The complexe 8 was obtained from the reaction of 5 with Ba(aO4)2 in CH2Cl2 - H2O.
