This paper analyses the common mechanical trouble of the parts of the portal crane, such as steel wire, winding drum, pulley, hanging hook and its anti- fallen unit, gear, brake, wheel and track and their safety accessories. It also puts forward specially the measures that can prevent mechanical troubles.
