This paper gives an account of the design and actual work procedures of the high temperature massive blasting in the 2^# sub--firezone of the Yangxia coal field fire fihting project in Luntai, Xinjiang. The results of the blasting is also dealt with in this paper. The techniques used, safety measures and management methods employed in organizing the chamber standing shot under high temperature cicumstance in the coal field fire zone are also introduced.
