There are still problems existed although we have made great achievements in rare earth application in steeL, which are reflected in following aspects. Rare earth steel is of few variety and tow grade, most of which is limited in applications of container steel, weathering steel, beam plate, structural steel, non-quenched and tempered steel, raiL, high strength shipbuilding steel, mould steel, pipeline steeL, Si-Mn steel and cast steel roller. And production is only accomplished in a few steel plants.
