GSM Network Capacity Improvement Analysis with 3GPP R6 New Enhanced Speech Service Techniques

本文针对3GPPR6提出的两项增强语音新技术——单天线干扰消除SAIC技术和SACCH/FACCH信道重发技术的特点,通过分析完全采用这些技术的GSM网络设计实例容量提升情况,给出了这两项新技术对GSM网络容量的提升效果。

The paper describes the characteristics of Single Antenna Interference Cancellation （SAIC） and repeated SACCH/FACCH technique, which are standardized in 3GPP Release 6 and are used to enhance GSM speech service. The paper also makes analysis on two cases of field GSM network design to evaluate the gain of GSM network capacity improvement by applying these two techniques, with both cases based on 100% mobile penetration rate of SAIC or repeated SACCH/FACCH technique.
