Institutional reform of the Chinese government is a difficult and complex process and also a process to continue moving forward. Through reviewing the process of institutional reform of the government since reform and opening up, the paper explores the causes of institutional reform of the government, reflects on the inadequacy of the reform and points out the inevitable path of institutional reform of the government.
