缆索起重机的承载索应选用外层密封的钢丝绳,起重绳、牵引绳选用耐磨及抗弯曲性能好的瓦灵顿型或面接触钢丝绳;起重小车的结构应保证各行走轮承载均衡,吊钩正常落下;固定张开式承马的托轮臂应能平缓张开和关闭,保证起重小车能正常跨越及起重绳、牵引绳不会从托轮上滑脱。
