By adopting the energy principle the paper deduces the approximate calculating method of the rollover instability of the rigid suspender＇s tied-arch bridge, points out the formula in the paper can basically reflect the rollover instability characteristics of the rigid suspender＇s tied-arch bridge, proves it by adopting the finite dement procedure, and gives out some consumptions which can be noticed in the process of the application.
