Application and Development of Laser Crystals

晶体激光器已广泛应用于材料加工、激光检测、研究与发展、激光治疗和军事方面。在今后的竞争中仍将保持发展的势头。在传统晶体激光器发展的同时,晶体激光器将向超大型和超小型两个方向发展,输出波长向可调谐方向发展。 激光晶体研究主要将集中在高效率、大功率输出和宽调谐等新型激光材料的探索,以及大尺寸、高质量激光晶体的研制。

Crystal lasers have been widely used for laser processing, laser inspection, R & D, laser surgery and military. Crystal lasers, such as Nd: YAG lasers, now show a tend to further development in competition with other kinds of lasers. As the common kinds of crystal lasers expand, the extreme large-scale and miniature crystal lasers will grow rapidly, and the tunable lasers in the output wave range will get a mighty advance.As to laser crystal research, it will concentrate on the searching for new kinds of crystals with high efficiency, high output power and widely tunable wave range. The crystal growth will put stress on obtaining crystals with large size and good quality.
