This study explored the relationship among explicit self-esteem, implicit self-esteem, self-concept clarity and depression with the application of the mediated moderation analysis strategy： The results indicate： explicit self-esteem has a significant negative correlation with depression, and implicit self-esteem moderates the relationship between explicit self-esteem and depression; explicit self-esteem has a significant positive correlation with self-concept clarity, and implicit self-esteem moderates the relationship between explicit self-esteem and self-concept clarity; self-concept clarity fully mediates the impact of explicit self-esteem × implicit self-esteem on depression.
