摘要 从带有荷兰口音、汉语口音的英语与美国英语本族语的英语的对比看带有汉语口音的中国人的英语在欧美环境下的可知情况。可知性的测试在音段、词汇以及句子层面展开。发音人与听音人在三个不同的语言背景中精心选出。研究结果表明语音的正确感知与三个层面都具有相关性。发音人与听音人基本上以中国人<荷兰人<美国人的顺序排列。当发音人和听音人共有同一母语时,可知性值相对高出。 Abstract: This paper treats of the intelligibility of English with Chinese accent in American and European contexts through a contrastive study of English with Dutch and Chinese accent with American native English. The testing of intelligibility unfolds on levels of segment, vocabulary and sentence. Speakers and listeners have been singled out from three different linguistic backgrounds. Research findings show that the correct sensibility of intonation is related to all the three levels. Speakers and listeners are largely ranked in the order of Chinese, Dutch and American. When listeners and speakers share the same mother tongue, the rate of intelligibility is relatively higher.
