Interpreting the Formation of Legal Culture in Modern Metropolises From the Perspective of Sociology

运用社会学的方法和视角,以现代都市法律文化为分析焦点,考察法律文化与现代都市的复杂关系。基本观点是:都市法律文化并非一个外在不变的客观社会事实,而是一个内在互动的意义生成过程。作者试图在方兴未艾的法律文化研究领域,以经验社会学的方法进一步拓展法律文化的研究空间,同时也希望引发人们对中国当代都市法律文化生成方式和样态的关注。

By employing the mehodology and perspective of sociology and by focusing upon analysis of legal culture in modern metropolises, this paper investigates the complicated relatioship between legal culture and modern metropolises. The fundamental viewpoints of the paper are as follows： Metropolitan legal culture is by no means an externally static objective social fact; instead it is an internally interactive and meaning - generating process. By applying the methodology of empirical sociology, the author intends to further expand the space for research of legal culture in the still growing legal culture research area. Meanwhile, the author hopes to draw the readers＇ attention to the formation modes and shape or posture of legal culture in contemporary metropolises in China.
