摘要
为了探索集束电极电火花加工的工艺特性,进行了工具电极平动加工试验,对比传统实体电极电火花加工,探讨了脉宽和峰值电流等条件对工件材料去除率及工具电极相对损耗率的影响.结果表明,通过平动工具电极,能够消除因多孔结构的集束电极在工件加工表面形成的毛刺状料心,从而使得加工过程稳定,材料去除率提高.相对于实体电极电火花加工,集束电极电火花加工的材料去除率及其工具电极损耗率均较大.
Bunched electrode as a novel method for fabricating electrodes is formed by bunching a number of hollow cell electrodes together. For an in-depth understanding to bunched-electrode EDM (BEDM), experiments whether under tool planetary motion or not were conducted. The influence of pulse duration and discharge current on material removal ratio(MRR) and tool wear ratio(TWR) in BEDM and solid-electrode EDM (SEDM) was tested. The results of the experiments show that BEDM is stable under tool planetary motion, and is superior about MRR and inferior about TWR to SEDM;s.
