Theories of Selective Attention and Instructional Presentation in Multimedia-based Foreign Language Classes

Based upon an account of the theories of selective attention and the findings of latest researches in second language acquisition, this article probes into instructional presentation and the main factors affecting classroom attention. The author demonstrates that the instructional presentation should be complied with the learners＇ needs and cognitive styles and puts forward the principles of instructional presentation in multimedia-based foreign language classes.
