A Reflection on Using of Technology in the Context of STS

正是在使用这一人类实践活动中,技术才得以成为人与自然的中介,科学、技术与社会(STS)才得以互动。人类凭借技术的使用破译了一个又一个自然奥秘,但也不幸由此制造出了一次又一次社会灾难,这就反讽似地刻画出人类社会所陷入的尴尬境地:人越欲控制自然,自然越欲背离人而去。如何在使用技术中重构人与自然的关系是实现STS协同共生的关键所在。

Just in the practical activities of using, technology has become the agent between human beings and nature, and science, technology and society have interacted each other. By the right of the using of technology human beings have decoded the natural mystery one by one, but unfortunately, because of the same activity they have placed the whole society in calamity time after time, which has portrayed the plight of the human society enmeshed ironically： the more human beings want to control the nature, the more nature lapses from human beings. How to re- build the relationship between human beings and nature in the using of technology is the key to the realization of the cooperation and survival together for science, technology and society.
