This is an extremely rare Kwangtung province undated 1-tael silver coin,with an ancient Chinese character "shou" which stands for longevity on its reverse.It is alleged that this piece was struck in 1904 to celebrate the 70th birthday of the Empress Dowager.But an article written by the former director of Tianjin mint who claimed that he saw the document file as well as the engraved wooden block stated that it was produced in 1894 to celebrated her 60th birthday.
