Analysis on Effects of Main Economic Traits at Different Boll Positions on Upland Cotton Plant

对四个陆地棉品种（系）的铃重、衣分、子指和纤维长度在棉株不同节位表现的研究表明，各性状的低值有较明显的分布规律，一般出现在下部１～３果枝节位、上部果枝节位和中部果枝的外围节位上；高值和中值多出现在中部果枝的１～２节位；

The experimental results from four upland cotton varieties(lines)indicated that the different positions of cotton bolls on the same plant differently affected the main economic traits such as boll weitht,lint percentage,seed index,and fiber length.A rule was found for the distribution of the lower values of the traits.They were distributed on the first to third joints on the lower branches and the outer joints on the upper and middle branches.The higher and middle values appeared mainly at the first and second joints on the middle branches.The lower values seldom appeared at the first joints on the fifth to ninth branches.
