By taking the audio-visual teaching material of clinical medicine ＂ 50 General Operational Skills on Nursing＂ as an example, we introduce how to ensure scientific and standardized characters of medical audio-visual teaching materials from picture, voice and caption. Furthermore, we indicate that scientific and normative characters are the core media elements in medical audio-visual teaching material making. Other elements should should subject to them.
