How far away is the stem cell therapy from the glaucoma management.A ten-year review.

摘要 本文回顾了干细胞与青光眼治疗相关的研究,简要分析了可能的干细胞来源、移植途径以及视神经损害的修复。基于目前的研究现状,探讨了青光眼患者在未来应用干细胞治疗的可能性和面临的风险,为进一步研究提出建议。 This mini review presents a summary of the stem cell studies associating with the glaucoma treatment. The sources of stem cell, the means of cell delivery, and the restoration of structure and function of the optic nerve were discussed. Based on the current research, the potential benefit and risk of stem cell therapy for the glaucoma patients was evaluated. Some suggestions were given for the future research on these issues.
