摘要
从实验科学与实验地理学的角度,结合空间信息与虚拟地理环境技术,讨论"虚拟地理实验"概念、特征及研究理论与框架。以辽宁浑河沈阳城市段防洪为案例,介绍虚拟地理实验在城市洪水模拟和防洪工程规划中的应用。
Experimental geography needs to he highlighted in order to develop geographic science. In the information and knowledge society, it is essential for the development of experimental geography to integrate the modern spatial, eommunications and information theories and techniques such as remote sensing, geographic information, virtual reality and grid. Moreover, geographic information science and technologies also need to combine experimental science and experimental geography in order to play an important role in the formation of the fundamental theories of geographic science. Considering spatial information and virtual geographic environment techniques, this paper addresses the concept, characteristics, theory, and study framework of virtual geographic experiments in terms of experimental Science and experimental geography. In a case study of the flood control of Hunhe River of Shenyang City in Liaoning Province, the paper reports a rudimentary application of virtual geographic experiment in urban flood simulation and flood control project planning.
