Citizen Education in Eros’Vision

"厄洛斯(eros)"是古典政治哲学和教育哲学的主题与内核。爱欲意味着人对美善本身以及与此内在相关的灵魂不朽的执着追求。不过,人的生命不是神的生命,它是可朽的,人若想实现不朽,就必须通过教育,与他人的灵魂结合在一起。正是出于这种对美善的爱,苏格拉底把教化优秀青年,使其卓越,看作是自己的神圣使命,而他自己也在这样的教化中实现了自己的灵魂不朽。

Eros is the subject and core of classical political philosophy and educational philosophy, which stands for the human pursuit of good as well as the correlative idea of immortality of soul. However, human life is not the life of God but mortal. If human want to achieve immortality, he must get through education and combine the soul each other. No other than the love for good, can Socrates takes it as his holy mission to cultivate the youths and make them excellent. Moreover, he achieves the immortality of soul through this cultivation.
