摘要
转喻是人类所共有的普遍思维方式,这一思维模式反映在人类的语言表达中。本文从语用失误和语用等效的角度出发,在对英汉隐喻进行语用对比的基础上,以杨宪益《红楼梦》英译中转喻的处理为案例,探讨了转喻的翻译策略。
Metonymy is a common cognitive phenomenon in human languages. From the perspectives of pragmatic failure and pragmatic equivalence, the author makes a pragmatic comparison between English and Chinese metonyrnies, conducts a study on Yang＇ s translation version of Hong Lou Meng, and tries to fred effective translation strategies of metonymy.
