English Translation of the Natural Science in Shanhaijing

物名外译主要用直译的方法。《山海经》记载的物名有许多古名。当译者在翻译此类古名时应该采用音译法,同时还要加注释或写出它的学名。

The Chinese -foreign translation of natural science mainly uses direct translation. As an ancient book, Shanhaijing records many ancient names. When dealing with the translation of these names, we adopt methods of transliteration with annotation and providing scientific names.
