改革开放以来,我国的经济建设取得了举世公认的成就,但经济增长方式比较粗放,实现经济快速增长付出的代价过大。十七大报告在全面把握我国经济发展规律的基础上,从当前的发展实际出发,将"转变经济增长方式"改为"转变经济发展方式"。这种改动内涵发生了重大变化,是我们党对经济发展规律认识的又一次飞跃,这对我国现代化建设具有重要的意义。

Since the reformation and opening to the outside world, our country＇s has achieved universally acknowledged success, but the mechanism about the economic growth is very primitive, and the cost for the rapid growth is too great. On the basis of fully controlling the developing laws for the economic development of our country, from the point of present practical situation, the report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China changes ＂converting the mechanism of economic growth＂ into ＂converting mechanism of the economic development＂. The significant change in the connotation is a great leap of our Party in the recognition of the economic development, which will be critical to the construction of our country＇ s modernization.
