大学精神是大学人所认同的理想、信念、价值观和行为准则,它具有导向、凝聚、激励和熏陶感染等作用。培育大学精神,要树立科学、先进的办学理念;强化大学的个性特征;着力营造良好的校风;确立能够体现学校特色的校训;继承、创新和发展学校的文化传统;发动师生员工共同参与等。

University spirit is the ideal, belief, value outlook and behavior principles that are approved by all members of a university. It can play an important part in guidance, coherence, encouragement and edification. To cultivate university spirit, excellent and scientific concept to run a school should be set up, unique characteristics of university and good university discipline should be created, characteristic school motto should be established, cultural traditions of university should be inherited, innovated and developed, and all teachers and students should be encouraged to participate in cultivating university spirit.
