With the growing up of the ultra-wideband （UWB） technology and the cost cutting of the wireless transmission systems, the wireless USB technology develops very quickly. The paper outlines the implement and the working principle of the current wireless USB technology, and details the architecture, characteristics of the wireless USB systems and the application in the ocean survey.
