物质世界的一切都处于永恒运动、变化之中。语言系统的一个基本单位——词汇也一样,因社会历史、语言、心理等原因,以不同的方式处在不断的发展变化之中。明晰英语词义变化的原因和方式,将有助于学习者全面了解词义,并获得与词义变化相关的文化知识,促进英语学习。
Evesything in the world is in a dynamic process. Vocabulary, one of the basic units of language system, is also constantly developing and changing due to social, historical, linguistic, psychological and other causes. Understanding the causes and ways of the evolvement of English lexical meaning is significant for improving students＇ English learning.
