Application of Stylistics in College English Teaching

传统英语教学模式过分重视语法和词汇的讲授,很少涉及语言文体学方面的知识。本文主要论述了文体学的基本知识以及如何利用这些知识促进学生语言表达能力、文学欣赏能力、翻译能力的提高。

Traditional English teaching pays much more attention to the vocabulary and grammar teaching than the introduction of stylistics. The paper gives the brief introduction to the theory of stylistics and illustrates the application of the theory to upgrade students＇ language communication skill, literature appreciation skill and translation skill.
