Ambrisentan is a selective endothelin receptor antagonist for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension with oral administration. Recent progress in mechanism, bioactivities, pharmacokinetics, safety and clinical efficacy of ambrisentan was briefly reviewed in this paper.
