A Case Study on a Female Shaman of the Hui Nationality in Xinjiang

文章通过对新疆和硕县乌什塔拉乡实地调查,较为详细地介绍了一位新疆回族女萨满毛艳的得道经历、治病的主要手段及治疗的几个典型病例。通过个案研究,希望引起学术界对新疆回族较为普遍存在的萨满现象研究的重视。

On the basis of the field work, the authors conduct a comparatively thorough research on a female shaman of the Hui nationality in Xinjiang, her initiation, her cure for her patients and some typical cases. The authors hope that this case study may draw scholars＇ attention to shamanistic phenomena existing among the Hui people in Xinjiang.
