试析隐喻翻译的可译性限度及不可译性——从汉英音韵差异角度

On the Limit of translatability and Untranslatability of Metaphors

由于汉英两种语言之间巨大的语言差异,隐喻在这两种语言的转换极为困难,甚至不可译。文章从汉英音韵差异的角度,从隐喻的音韵美感、双关隐喻以及隐喻拟声词的翻译探讨了隐喻翻译的可译性限度及不可译性。

Owing to the great linguistic differences between the Chinese language and the English language, great difficulty is inevitable in cross-translating metaphors between the two languages and even untranslatability occurs. From the perspective of rhyme differences between the two languages, this paper probes into the limit of translatability and untranslatability of metaphors and discusses the rhyme beauty of metaphors, metaphorical pun, and metaphorical onomatopoeia.
