THE RELATION BETWEEN CYTOKININS AND THE DEVELOPMENT AND GERMINATION OF SEEDS

本文综述了有关种子发育和萌发与细胞分裂素关系的文献资料。大量事实表明,细胞分裂素在种子发育和种子萌发过程中起着十分重要的作用。它一方面促进胚细胞的分裂与扩大,另一方面参与胚乳(或子叶)贮藏物质的动用与运输。此外,还讨论了种子内细胞分裂素的来源。

This paper reviews the literature about the relation between cytok-inins and the development and germination of seeds. Adequate facts show that cytokinins play a very important role in the development and ger-minafion of teeds.Cytokinins not only stimulate cell division and enlargement of embryo, but also take part in mobilization and transportation of stored substances in endosperm or cotyledons.Besides, the origin of endogenous cytokinins is discussed in the paper.
