Professor Pan Nian-ying, an anthropology scholar, has a double identity, one is a scholar who is expert in anthropology (most of the time, a writer or an intellectual), the other is a native {more often, a spokesman of his native). As a result, the objectiveness in his works is not as strong as that in those by others and he has brought about new perspective and new insight. Though far from perfect, his statement of "native civilization" is of shock and surprise to us, which is the most classic example of the localization of anthropology.
