谷子新品种“长谷二号”选育报告

A REPOET ON SELLECTING THE NEW MLLET VARIETY “CASR1 MILLET”

“长谷二号”谷子新品种是长春市农科所谷子组以谷代1×公谷6号杂交育成,1986～1988年经吉林省谷子品种区域试验鉴定,谷草双收,增产显著,平均比对照公谷6号和白沙971增产10.2％,其它性状也表现良好,1989年1月由吉林省农作物品种审定委员会审定通过,并命名为“长谷二号”。该品种具有高产、稳产、抗逆性强等特点。1989年定名当年种植面积就已达到11.7万亩。

“CASRI (Changchun Agricultural Scentific Reserch Institute) millet”is a new variety sellected from the descendants of the crossbreeding “Gudai No.1× Gonggu No.6”. From 1986 through 1988 the variety was tested for identification in the millet planting region in Jilin Province.The results showed that the variety is with a remarkable high yield for both grain and its grass.The yield was 10.2% higher than its controls:“Gonggu No.6” and “Baosha No.971”.Besides it was with other better characteristics. In January 1989 the variety was identified and named as “CASRI millet No.2” by the Crop Variety Identification Committee of Jilin Province.This variety 'has the characteristics of high and stable yield, and drought,disease, logging and drought resistance and excellent quality.
