A short range wireless transceiver in the 5. SGHz band is introduced in detail. This transceiver is based on the MMIC transponderCHR2244. It is designed to receive AM signal in downlink and transmit FM signal in uplink. The antenna unit, RF unit and data link controller are explained respectively. The communication process is elaborated as well.
