The classical hybrid projection algorithm is modified by introducing a new algorithm for Lipschitz pseudo-contractive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Then a strong convergence theorem is proved by the modified algorithm and new analysis technique. The result answers an open question proposed by Marino and Xu and consequently, many recent corresponding results are extended to more general setting.
