Pope is not only a well-known contemporary Western philosopher of science, but also a well-known liberal political philosopher. His political ideology which based on the principle of method and principle of falsifications criticizes the historical determinism, attacks the social reform method of holism, and put forward the political thought of ＂open society＂, so he is a strong supporter of western democracy. By right of his rich and unique methodology, Pope made a significant contribution to the development of the Western philosophy of science, political philosophy and other subjects.
