China’s Progress in Constitutionalism over Thirty Years of Reform and Opening up and Its Prospects

改革开放是当代中国宪政发展的原动力。现行宪法在改革开放中诞生,也在改革开放中发展。改革开放30年来,中国宪政在民主、法治与自由三个方面均已取得很大成就。尽管中国宪政还存在明显不足,但展望未来,中国宪政的前景是十分光明的。

Reform and opening up constitute motive power for China＇s progress in constitutionalism. The country＇s existing constitutionalism was born and has developed in the drive of reform and opening up. Over thirty years of reform and opening up, China has made great achievements in democracy, rule of law and freedom. Ahhough there are some obvious defects in its constitutionalism , its prospects are bright.
